Tras el viaje escolar, se celebra un torneo de salto a la comba entre clases, y Sae y Kamishiro son escogidos para balancear la cuerda. Pese a no esperárselo, Sae intenta no fijarse mucho en Kamishiro. Cuando empiezan a practicar, no todo va tan bien como esperaba. Una tarde después de clase, Sae ve a Kagawa practicando sola tras el instituto.
